Their journey began in 1999 as a university business project by founders Freek and Norman. Armed with only R500 and big ideas, they sold “peach mampoer” at campus events, unknowingly stepping into the world of moonshine.
Fast forward to 2017, and their vision became a reality with the launch of Copper Still Craft Distillery in Vanderbijlpark. Inspired by legendary moonshiner Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton, they crafted a range of small-batch, double-distilled spirits using homemade copper stills. These spirits offer a smooth, mouth-watering experience unlike any other, staying true to the roots of traditional distilling while embracing modern refinement.
